Our Projects > Bonhill Primary School, Dunbartonshire

Bonhill Primary School Bonhill Primary School is a new 220 place village school on a brownfield site built opposite the existing smaller school at the heart of the village.

The design was developed following a series of interactive engagement sessions with all stakeholders including teaching staff, parents, governors and of course the school children. The basis of the design concept was generated by a workshop with one of the groups of children.

There is a ring of teaching spaces enclosing a protected external courtyard space. This can be used for both outdoor dining and learning without fear of the courtyard being subject to misuse out of hours.

To ensure that the new building was up to the high environmental standards expected, BRS helped with air leakage testing and U Value calculations.
